Tools of the Trade: Influencer Marketing Conversation with Andy Naselli

This week our team brought in popular theology blogger Andy Naselli to host a discussion about building a following and earning trust – two critical components of Influencer Marketing. His career also includes roles as an author, pastor, and professor, which is to say that Andy is not necessarily a marketer, but he has spent years growing in his role as an influencer to spread information and ideas that support his beliefs.   [caption id="attachment_21186" align="alignright" width="200"] Andy Naselli is an assistant professor of New Testament and theology at Bethlehem College &...

Valerie joined the BCN team as a marketing specialist in June 2016. She completed her Master’s degree in Communication Studies in the beautiful, southeastern city of Greenville, South Carolina. While studying, she judged, coached, and competed in mock trial and debate. Since moving to the diverse city of Hamtramck, MI, she has been treating herself to the lively and stimulating flavors of Yemeni, Bengali, and Polish food and playing tennis in the local park. Valerie fits in well with the research-focused mindset of BCN that originally convinced her to come...

Meet the Team – Adam Lenze

Adam Lenze joins the BCN team as a summer intern for 2016. He is in the process of completing his bachelor's degree majoring in Communications Media and minoring in Business Administration at the confusingly named but charmingly located Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After growing up in a small college town about two hours east of Pittsburgh, Adam is thrilled to be living so close to Detroit. It’s flat terrain stands in stark contrast to the hills where he was raised and he enjoys jogging across it while exploring the diverse and...

Protecting Yourself in the Digital World – 3 Tips for Data Security

Always connected, the truth is that we rarely go an hour without checking a phone, computer or tablet. Wi-Fi has become a common amenity in restaurants, coffee shops, and community gathering spaces, giving us untethered access to everything from Facebook to online banking. While the convenience of technology at our fingertips is beneficial, it is not without costs. We regularly praise connectedness and availability, but many users do not understand the access they grant to others while surfing the net. Using those conveniently placed free hotspots or replying to sweepstakes...

First Adventure of 2016: CES!

However, for some, including the BCN team, the first week in January brought a new adventure. Last week several members of our team had the opportunity to attend CES (Consumer Electronic Show) in Las Vegas. For anyone who is not sure what CES is, it is an enormous collection of the most cutting edge and intriguing...
